ICD-10-CM Mappings 2017: Linking ICD-9-CM to All Valid ICD-10-CM Alternatives

ICD-10-CM Mappings 2017: Linking ICD-9-CM to All Valid ICD-10-CM Alternatives

ICD-10-CM Mappings 2017 was created initially to prepare physician offices or facilities for the documentation and coding challenges of the transition to the ICD-10-CM code set. Even after the transition, diagnosis code mappings remain a valuable tool in linking historical ICD-9-CM coded data to the 2017 ICD-10-CM codes and will continue to be relevant for trending of case mix and medical severity, coding audits, reimbursement trending and financial planning. Use this resource to identify all forward and backward mappings of ICD-9-CM codes to their corresponding ICD-10-CM codes.

The 2017 edition will reflect the final code set changes for fiscal year 2017. Accurate coding requires access to the up-to-date ICD-10-CM code set found in this resource. Don’t rely on outdated information!
